The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPRDSB) will once again be offering dynamic e-learning courses. This innovative opportunity, developed by the Ministry of Education, provides equity of access to credit courses, pending sufficient enrollment, for all students seeking to realize their educational or career goals.
Through a web-based Learning Management System (LMS) that provides secure “virtual classrooms”, students will use real time and asynchronous technologies to access course content and collaborate with their teacher and classmates.
All traditional supports for student success are provided by the home school as well as access during the day to dedicated computers with high speed internet. Brochures with more information are available in the guidance department. Students are encouraged to discuss with their guidance counsellor the appropriateness of this learning opportunity for them. These courses may be selected through the regular course selection process but will require the completion of a registration form to finalize the process.
