Department News & Info

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
Students wishing to register at CCSS are required to submit  a pre-registratiaon package.    An interview will be scheduled only when the complete package has been received by the Guidance Office.  Required documents may include a credit summary or transcript, authorization form, attendance record, current timetable, literacy test results,  most recent report card, individual education plan (IEP), up-to-date immunization record, photocopy of birth certificate and proof of residency.
Students registering after June 30th should be aware that their course selections may be limited by full classes and scheduling restrictions.
Registration packages can be picked up at the Guidance Office.

Timetable Changes
In general,
  • changes can be made up to and including the 10th day of classes for the given semester with parent/guardian approval (students under 18)
  • situations in which a level change is required following the 10th day of classes will be considered on a case by case basis
  • students must carry a full time course load of at least 3 courses in each semester
  • full disclosure policy:  courses dropped up to and including the 5th school day following the distribution of mid-terms report cards will not appear on student transcripts
  • first semester courses will not be dropped after Dec. 1/11 and second semester courses will not be dropped after May 1/12.
  • NO COURSE is changed or dropped until the student has obtained the necessary parent/guardian and teacher signatures and returned the change form to the office

Ask ATeacher is a homework help website where students can chat with certified teachers in a virtual classroom or complete practice exercises for EQAO tests.

Career Matters is an online resource that helps students chart their path through high school and beyond.
